Hello! This blog is the home to some of my thoughts, born out of a new year's resolution to write more.
About Me: After college, I started off in the world of finance and business, but eventually I found my way to a startup in New York City. They were crazy enough to offer to teach me how to code - it was too good an opportunity to pass up. While there, I focused my time on helping to improve our product, whether it be by brainstorming new ideas, speccing out features, coding things up, or analyzing the numbers.
Today, I'm a student in business school. I still love thinking about products and tinkering on my own projects on the side, and I hope to return to tech after graduating. While here though, I'm exploring how traditional business thinking can still be relevant for modern product- and user-oriented thinking.
For 2014, I resolved to write more, and it has turned out to be a fun way to share the interesting things I learn and think about. On the tech side, I aim for most of my posts to be as approachable as possible for people without a tech background, because I was there just a short while ago too.
I hope you enjoy! If you want to learn more about me, you can find more serious information here, or you can reach out to allen.bitsandbites[at]gmail.com.
